Welcome to Arnaud's homepage

I am a theoretical biologist and a philosopher of biology. My research revolves around new concepts and mathematical approaches to understand biological complexity. I worked on niche construction theory, non-genetic inheritance, and asymptotic hypotheses in biology. I am now working with Paul Griffiths and Karola Stotz on the concepts, and measures, of biological information.

I obtained my PhD thesis in theoretical ecology at the Ecole Normale Supérieure, Paris, under the supervision of Régis Ferrière and Philippe Huneman. Then, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Philosophy of Science, University of Pittsburgh. I am currently a Research Fellow at the Department of Philosophy and Charles Perkins Centre, University of Sydney.
